With the focus on wool and knitting, I design series of objects and pieces of clothing. These series tell the story of my search for peace and solace, in a fast paced world.
Undefinable, sometimes maybe weird, stuffed animals and creatures. And knitted sculptures with my signature pleated knitwear.
I don’t see myself as a fashion designer. My brain doesn’t think in pattern pieces and seams. It thinks in knitwear, yarn and combining loose threads. I don't view my work as collections, because I don't want to link myself to classical fashion.
In that sense, I also find it difficult to give myself a title. Designer, textile designer, knitwear designer, thinker, writer. I take on all those different roles.
